We have been at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota now for 7 weeks. My wife, Kathleen has been by my side the entire time. I watch caregivers come and go every week. Many patients are very young and the caregivers are still working. Kathleen has never missed one of my 7:15 am radiation appointments and provides the support I need at all my Radiology/Oncology appointments. As many of our friends and their caregivers have rang the Hope Bell at Mayo and been able to go home, we appreciate the time together with others that also have this disease. I will ring the bell soon and Kathleen will continue to be by my side at home. Thank your for this opportunity to let others know how lucky we all are to have caregivers!
