Asics Brings Out the Blue to Battle Against Prostate Cancer
ASICS America introduces new collection benefitting the Prostate Cancer Foundation

PCF

October 28, 2014ASICS America is again teaming up with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to expand their Accelerate Hope Collection™. Firmly committed to curing prostate cancer, the Prostate Cancer Foundation is the leading philanthropic organization funding and accelerating research for the disease globally. Featuring a variety of new ASICS products, all in the signature bold blue color. ASICS America continues to help fund research to fight this cancer. This collection rounds out the larger Accelerate Hope Collection™ for ASICS, which includes collections benefiting breast cancer and children’s cancer, through Right Action for Women and Cookies for Kids Cancer, respectively.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men, second only to skin cancer. In fact, about one in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point during their lifetime. For the last 21 years, the Prostate Cancer Foundation has worked tirelessly to find unique strategies for identifying and investing in the most promising research programs, generating life-saving results. The organization channels resources to the world’s top scientific minds—cutting through red tape and encouraging collaboration to speed breakthroughs. In the past four years, research supported by the Foundation has helped deliver six new FDA-approved medicines now reaching patients with advanced disease.

For the 2014 Prostate Cancer Collection, ASICS has created a series of specialty products, including a new take on the award winning GEL-Cumulus®, with the GEL-Cumulus® 16 BR which sports a bright blue camouflage pattern and a blue ribbon on the heel of the shoe and the Quick Lyte® Cushion Single Tab sock . A new addition to the collection this year is a Titled Spiral™ Tech Tee, the Floating Ribbons Tee™, the Paint My Heart™ Tech Tee and the PR™ Runbrief. For the month of November, ASICS will donate $10 for every pair sold of the GEL-Cumulus® 16 BR, $2 for every Tech Tee, $2 for every Floating Ribbons Tee™, $2 for every PR™ Runbrief, and $1 for every Quick Lyte® Cushion Single Tab to The Prostate Cancer Foundation with a minimum donation of $100,000 (up to $150,000). These specially marked products now available at retail stores nationwide and athttp://www.asicsamerica.com.
