I’ve battled 3b cervical cancer and the effects of treatment since 2016 and my mother has been by my side since day one. While battling my cancer, a very close family friend Valerie (we considered her our sister and my mom considered her another daughter since Valerie’s mother died) battled leukemia and lost her fight. My mother carried both me and Valerie through cancer while maintaining her job and household. Long story short she’s amazing.
