About Hannah C.
I work in a nursing home. It means I see everything, from psych, to broken hips, to cancer. I love all of my patients. Every single one. But nobody has touched my heart like “Tommy”. He came in, and we just clicked. He was dealing with metastatic prostate cancer, and we bonded over my girlfriend and I’s relationship and our mutual love of cooking. I can’t reveal too much due to HIPAA, but rest assured my life was legitimately changed caring for him. He went home a little while ago on hospice, only a couple months left to live. I miss him dearly, and wish I could’ve stayed in contact. Caring for people with prostate cancer is hard, but it is emotionally fulfilling in a way that’s hard to explain.
