About Megan M.
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago right after he had his spleen removed. This is how they found out he had prostate cancer, as well as finding out he has a genetic disorder called Lynch syndrome (a type of inherited cancer syndrome associated with a genetic predisposition to different cancer types). Thankfully he had surgery to remove all they could but unfortunately still had to undergo radiation treatments. Throughout his hospital stays, appointments, and his treatments he never complained and instead he showed others his overwhelming kindness and hope that he has. I can 100% tell you that anyone he came in contact with had a better day because of being around him. My mom and dad were rockstars through the whole process. Both of them were continually happy and hopeful and thankful, blessing others wherever they go. My dad had bracelets made that said “radiate hope” and he would give them to everyone he saw at his radiation treatments including other patients and staff there, and they proudly wore them and wanted to continue spreading hope! My dad is my hero, because he strives to bring hope and joy to others even while experiencing the pain and challenges of cancer! Love you daddy
