My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer two days after my brother passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack, last week. This is just the beginning of a long road for my family. My mom will be his primary care taker since I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She will be taking him to the appointments, taking care of him after surgery and everything that he will go through that is still unknown at this point. She will also probably serve as his emotional punching bag. In the last 15 years my dad lost both of his sons and I am his only child left. I have been making sure that he knows that my mom, my self, my sister in law, and all of his grandchildren still need him here, that he has to be strong and determined to kick this cancer in the butt.
