In 1988 my father-in-law was dying of prostate cancer. By the time he was diagnosed it was in his bones. My mother-in-law bowled on Monday nights and she made him his favorite (salmon Pattie’s) for dinner. As he was bed ridden and she headed out to the bowling alley I was there to help him eat. He was so Ill he just couldnt stomach the food. He asked me to throw it away so she would think he ate it On Valentine’s Day he asked if I could shop for some chocolate for the love of his life which I was very happy to do. On Feb 28th 1989 he passed of a horrid and painful cancer.
