Our host is PCF-funded researcher and urologist Stacy Loeb, MD, MSc, PhD (Hon.) longtime host of the popular “Men’s Health” show on Doctor Radio.
The next episode of “The Prostate Health Show” airs Wednesday, July 31, at 6:30pm Eastern Time. This month, Dr. Loeb discusses the future of prostate cancer screening and care with Professor Nick James of the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Dr. Loeb and Prof. James are members of the Lancet Commission. This global group of experts has made recommendations on how to address the projected doubling in prostate cancer cases worldwide, to 2.9 million by 2040. Learn about what is driving this increase and what can be done to save lives.
Dr. Loeb and her guests take your questions live on the air. This collaboration brings you the latest news and science of prostate health, from the very basic (where the prostate is) to the complex (the latest research on treatments for advanced prostate cancer). The series continues as a monthly segment during Dr. Loeb’s “Men’s Health” show. It will address important prostate health topics for all men, and for the partners, wives, sisters, daughters, friends, and family members who care about them. Dr. Loeb’s guests are leading experts in the fields of urology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, sexual medicine, and more.
Dr. Loeb is a Professor in the Departments of Urology and of Population Health, NYU Langone School of Medicine, and also practices at the Manhattan VA. She has received PCF Young Investigator and Challenge awards and has numerous research interests in prostate cancer, including digital communications and online information, genetic testing, and sexual health.
