About Becky H.
I am writing in regards to the parents, especially the mother of Jasper Mazzocco. He is my daughters preschool friend and was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago. After undergoing chemo and multiple surgeries, they believed they had beat it…even though he was left blind and with multiple daily sezuires (amongst many other side affects) they were thankful he was alive. At his last check up, they discovered more tumors had grown and have traveled to his spine. His parents and little brother are the heroes of this story. They are back at the Childrens hospital now, while Jasper fights for his life with radiation this time. The reason I am writing is because my daughter, jaspers mom Shelby, and I, run a fundraising program called jaspers hot cocoa for a cure. We sell hot chocolate and treats giving all proceeds to parents with children in treatment, or to hospitals pediatric brain cancer research departments. So over the last two years while she takes care of her blind and seizure riddled son, her younger son, husband, household and still works…she has been running the cocoa for a cure right along side me. So that other parents like her can have some sort of support, at least financially, in the same sort of situations. She is amazing. They have been through too much for one little family to endure. They are just regular people with regular lives and have taken it all with grace and strength. And even turned their experience into a positive one for others.
Please look at them for anything you can do to help. Shelby, should be mom if the year in my book!
