Dan S.
About Dan S.
We cared for my husband Dan who was not diagnosed until stage 4.
Dan’s diagnosis was a rallying cry for our family. Our three girls out their lives on hold to help care for their dad. We had plenty of time to say good-bye, but until that day came, we did our best to live and watch someone most special to us navigate the end of his life. Dan and I walked one of our daughter’s down the aisle for her wedding, and Lindsay was generous enough to share the father daughter dance with her two sisters.
We learned what it meant to give even when you were exhausted. We learned that humor goes a long way when you are facing real adversity. But most of all, we were able to give love unconditionally to the man who had always loved us unconditionally as well.
We learned that love transcends death.
