About Dennis F.
My name is Dennis. I’m 64 years young. I was diagnosed in July with PC. Due to my previous back surgeries I was not a candidate for surgery. Radiation is my treatment. I have 4 more for a total of 40. I am a very grateful man My younger sister Tere Davison who lives in Florida with her husband Dale (who has leukemia) early stage. This is hard to put into words when your eyes keep welling up while typing. You see I’m the last of our 4 brothers. We lost Larry last year. Tere and I have always been the closest as we where raised by our Teamster Truck driver Dad. Who passed at 54 from lung cancer. Mom is gone too from pancreatic cancer. So with that said. Tere and Dale drove there camper from Florida a couple days before my 1st treatment in a blizzard up here so Tere could stay with me for the duration. Dale went back 2 weeks ago due to work. Tere has gone with me every day for the hour in and hour back ride every day. She’s cooked our meals every day done the shopping cleaning everything. She advocated on my behalf cooked food that is healthy and good for my treatment. Our other sister Patty came from cape cod fir 2 weeks to help out and to be together. We don’t see each other enough due to we live so far apart. I’m coming to the end of my treatments and Tere will go back to Florida soon to be with her hubby and sons. And I will miss her greatly. But all she has done for me is just amazing. How loving how unselfish she is. She baked lasagna for the nurses at my treatment center at UMass for there lunch today. She is really something please consider her for this nice offer as a care giver. I honestly don’t know who would be more deserving? . I served my country in the army guards way back in the 70’s was a paid on call fire fighter for 20 years in our town. I’m retired from our states correction system as an industrial instructor. Just to let you know a little about me. I always give of myself so when I’m on the receiving end it’s kinda hard to adjust to it.
Thank you so much for your time.
A grateful man Dennis F.
