We were caring for my wife (Vicki)’s sister in our home who had stage 4 lung cancer. She was on hospice. At the same time I received my diagnosis of Stage 4 adenoca. I was shellshocked. My PSA had gone from 2.5 to 20 in 15 months. Vicki was amazing during this time. With the assistance of medical assistants watching her sister, she accompanied me to all doctor appointments and a 2 month stay in NYC while I received treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She was a cheerleader during this time pushing me to eat, go to my RT, exercise when possible, and keep my spirits high.
