The Detroit Pistons joined the Black History Month Assist Challenge in its second year to help raise awareness about prostate cancer in the African-American community, while raising funds to support life-saving research. The Pistons pledged to donate $50 per field goal throughout the month, totaling $20,950 towards PCF. Tom Gores, Pistons owner, matched the team and contributed another $50,000 to reach a total of $70,950. Learn more here.
