30 years of marriage, 4 awesome kids and then a prostate cancer diagnosis when he was only 53 years old. What surprised me is that my husband took on this disease like any other challenge – he fought it hard and won! He didn’t let it slow him down as all he could think about was US. How unselfish of a person when he could really have been brought to his knees. He found the strength and courage to have surgery and a recovery that really didn’t make me feel like a caregiver at all. His story may not be unique, but he IS.
