About Gina Carithers

Gina B. Carithers is an internationally recognized leader in healthcare marketing, communications, and business development. She has extensive experience building global brands and developing corporate strategies. In 2022, Gina was recruited to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to serve as PCF’s Executive Vice President & Chief Communications Officer with the acquisition of Digital Science Press, Inc. (DSP) and its internet site, UroToday.com.

Under Carithers’ leadership as Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Urotoday’s online community has grown to serve 86,000 urologists, GU oncologists, healthcare providers, and patients from 206 countries around the globe. Gina’s extensive healthcare experience is affiliated with her professional associations in the biopharmaceuticals and life sciences sectors. Gina has served as an industry consultant shaping medical education programs for companies such as Indevus and Novartis.

Prior to founding DSP and UroToday, Carithers served as an executive at DuPont Pharmaceuticals. Throughout her 20-year career there, she held several management positions, including, most recently, the role of executive vice president of the global virology franchise. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
