About Heather B.
I am all my Dad has left, so when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, I knew not only did he have a long road ahead of him, but so did I. Raising my two girls and running my salon, I had to make sure I had the time to I take care of my Dad. He was scared and didn’t want to be alone through this journey. We became a team and we got through it. I was with him every step of the way from drs appts, to his prostatectomy, to his recovery, and all the way to his remission.I made sure he knew he was loved and how much I didn’t want to lose him. My Dad is my best friend, my person. This journey might have been a rough patch, but it has brought us closer than ever. From then on out, I’ve made sure to promote prostate cancer awareness hoping that it will make men more aware of this awful thing we call cancer and to get checked regularly.
