I wanted to give my Dad a shout out. He had his prostate removed a little over a year ago. He was supposed to get radiation at the VA hospital in the Twin Cities but he couldn’t take my Mom out of her comfort zone. Because of this his cancer spread. You see, my Dad is the sole care taker of my Mom who has Alzheimer’s. He struggles so much, but he refuses to give up on her. I help my Dad with Mom when she’ll tolerate me. A lot of the time she thinks Dad and I are dating. I cannot even tell you how hard watching both parents be sick at the same time is. My Dad gets up every morning to go to radiation by 7:30 am. He comes home and makes my mom breakfast and makes sure that she takes her medication. My mom kicks him out at least 4 times a week because she doesn’t remember that they are married. My Dad is my hero, and I am so proud of him. I would live to see him get some love from someone like you. He doesn’t share his journey with anyone, he is so private. I know it would make his day to get something from you!!
