My oldest daughter (Anabelle) was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 3.5 while I was 32 weeks pregnant with our third child. We were going through our routine preschool check up and we just stumbled upon this diagnosed. I was dumbfounded because it couldn’t thought this was real. I dealt with my sister’s cancer but it wasn’t the same at all. she had her first surgery, a lot of cries, days where she was a zombie because of the medication, most heart breaking was when both her and I was in two difference hospitals because she developed a high glucose level because of the steroids she was taking and she had to be on insulin for a period of time. I was in the hospital because I developed hypertension being so stressed out while pregnant with our child. The person she wanted by her side was me her mommy the most and 2 years later we are all still traumatized but we’re fortunate to has been cancer free.
