First, a huge thank you for doing this! While I have been a caregiver to my own mother who passed from cancer, my best friend of 20+ yrs and her family are just beginning this fight. They just found out her father has prostate cancer a few days ago. They haven’t even told all of their friends and family yet. They are my second family, I am their other daughter. I will not be his direct caregiver, but I will be for my friend and the rest of her family. I know the difficult road that is ahead of them, and you honoring a caregiver is gesture that whomever is chosen won’t forget.. I just wanted to share their story and say thank you again!
