About Leonard B.
I’m not sure how I would have coped without my beautiful wife Susan. I was in the prime of my life, running a successful law practice, far too busy to be stricken with advanced prostate cancer in March of 2016. I was like a deer in the headlights – suddenly incapable of thinking straight. It was almost surreal to feel my sense of strength dissipate while I simultaneously saw a powerful force emerge in Susan. She researched all she could about treatment options, consulted with doctors, created a notebook that she would lug to all appointments and take copious notes, challenged doctors on their opinions and most importantly, embraced me every day and spoke the most inspirational thoughts so that I could reclaim my spirit and muster the strength to confront the fight ahead of me. My wife has brought me to a good place. Not only has this crisis brought us closer as husband and wife, but I’m happy to report that out shared determination, along with great medical care and a bit of incredibly good fortune, has resulted in a very good prognosis. I’m a new person in many ways and without Sue’s love and guidance I couldn’t have achieved my new lease on life.
