In June 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. To say that it was devastating is an understatement. Today with the help of monthly treatments and daily medication I’m living normally, having regained most of my strength and energy. But my fight to survive would not be possible without the love and support of my wife. When I was at my lowest, my wife was there to bolster my spirits and help me through the hard times, while working a full time job. I fight every day for her. But the dark side is that while I’m the one who is physically suffering, the emotional toll on her is immeasurable. She knows that she faces a future without me and yet she fights through every day to make our lives together as normal as possible. Whatever success I’ve had dealing with this condition is all because of her. I owe her everything.
