A perfect night with my boys can always be found at Citizen Bank Park. As a native Philadelphian and regular coach of our two sons’ Little League teams, there’s a special kind of twinkle in my husband’s eye as he and the kids huddle up to talk baseball strategy in our seats as the game unfolds. There have been so many special nights— there was John Mayberry’s walk-off grand slam in the 11th inning, there was the late, late night when we sang a reprise of “Take me out to the ballgame” during the middle 14th inning, and the night when our littlest ate his first Schmitter. For myself and all of my boys, we aren’t just Phillies phans, we are part of the team.
