My very first MLB game was at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 1964, when the Yanks clinched their 5th straight AL flag, on the 2nd-to-last day of the season (and only 14,879 people showed up!)  My dad and I sat in box seats behind the home dugout.  For 50 cents he bought me a pennant with a Yankees team photo stapled to it and, as change for a dollar, we received one of the first JFK half-dollar coins … and I still have both!  We lived one block away from the Stadium and I turned into a life-long fan that afternoon.
