After working 40 hard years on the railroad my husband retired. We were enjoying retirement and loving life when it came time for me to go on Medicare. One of my cancer meds, ibrane soared from $1.68 a month thru his RR insurance to over $550 a month thru our new prescription plan. We tried everything we could to get assistance but the answer was always the same- our income was too high. My husband had to leave his hard earned retirement and go back to work part time. It breaks my heart to see how tired he is & hear him moaning in pain when we go to bed. This is the best definition of true love.
