About Elizabeth Repasky, PhD
Dr. Repasky is currently holds the positions of Distinguished Member, Professor of Oncology; Program Leader: Cell Stress and Biophysical Therapies; and William Huebsch Professor of Immunology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The research in Dr. Repasky’s lab focuses on lab on studying physiological and immunological pathways that can be targeted to improve the efficacy of cancer therapies, especially radiation and immunotherapies. The lab also studies the wide-ranging effects of sympathetic stress response and the multiple mechanisms by which chronically elevated stress hormones promote tumor progression. In current research, the lab is studying the potential for combining the β-blocker propranolol to radiation for enhancing anti-tumor immune responses for the treatment of cancer.
