About Phillip J. Koo, M.D.

Prior to joining PCF, Dr. Koo was the Chief of Radiology and Physician Executive of Oncology at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center after serving as Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is an internationally recognized leader and educator in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals for prostate cancer, with numerous invited lectures globally. His academic interests have focused on nuclear medicine in prostate cancer, data-driven motion correction, and response to novel therapies using PET.

Dr. Koo completed his transitional internship at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center-Presbyterian, his radiology residency at the Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and his fellowship at the Harvard Medical School Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Koo also serves as Editor of the Imaging Center of Excellence for UroToday, is the founding chair of the SNMMI Therapeutics Conference, and, in 2022, was the recipient of the SNMMI Presidential Distinguished Service Award. In 2024, he was also awarded honorary membership to the LUGPA for his service to the organization and the field of urology.
